Share My Why
Before you dive in, take 2 minutes to share your why: What's motivating you to waste less this sprint? Post it to the feed so you (and the rest of us!) have something to look back on when things get busy.
In the Home
Turn Off Lights and Electronics
I will turn off lights, electronics, and appliances when not in use to save energy.
In the Home
🔷 Reimagine Leftovers
I will learn how to repurpose my leftovers into new meals and share my meal makeover ideas in the feed.
In the Home
Design My Grocery Routine for Less Waste
Groceries are one of the biggest sources of single-use packaging that generates waste. I will redesign one part of my grocery routine (e.g., bulk bins, loose produce, refill options) to replace 2 products with plastic and packaging waste.
In the Home
Take Shorter Showers
I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!
In the Home
Repair Instead of Replace
I will repair at least one item that is broken, but is repairable. This might be items like garden tools, sewing machine, small appliances, wood furniture, electronics, clothing, and more.

🔷 Create an Eat First Area
I will create an "Eat First" area in my fridge to prioritize food that needs to be used right away for my household of 3. Doing so will prevent 0.34 pounds of food per household member from entering the landfill.

Ashley Robey 10/16/2026 9:37 AMI grew up in a household that lived "waste not, want not" and I think it's a good principle to keep in mind. We didn't have a lot of extras, but we always had what we needed, even if we had to get a little creative.
Reducing the amount of waste we create, reusing items that can be reused (sometimes in a new and creative way!) and recycling what we can all help to save money and energy. I'm a big fan of having energy, and extra money is always nice! Helping the earth is a nice bonus 💚
